As we approach the 10th anniversary of SafeSpot Children’ Advocacy Center, I we are proud to present the outcome of a six-month long effort to create a Strategic Plan that will carry our organization to new heights in the years to come.
At the time of our founding, the SafeSpot Board served a critical role in establishing the organization and its services, developing staff, building partnerships, and growing financial resources. Several years later, we turned our focus to stabilizing the maturing organization and achieving financial stability, all while serving more children each year. Having achieved our initial goals, we are passionate about our next chapter, which will allow us to improve and enhance where we can, expand our services to reach more children, and deepen the impact we have on the lives of those children and their families.
This plan is the result of a deep commitment by every member of the SafeSpot team. Led by the Board of Directors Strategic Planning Committee, it has included input, advice, and counsel from the SafeSpot staff, supporters, and our multi-disciplinary team partners – law enforcement, child protective services, the Commonwealth Attorney, and medical professionals. We are proud of the fact that each team member – Board, staff, county partners, donors, volunteers – believes passionately in our mission:“. . . to provide a safe environment and support services for child abuse victims and their families as they navigate the investigation and aftermath of abuse.
